Kaikana Musicals creates original children’s musicals for schools, academies, theater programs, camps, cultural entities, and organizations. When you purchase a musical, you receive the digital materials needed to prepare and perform the show: script, songs, backing tracks, scores, production resources, and other available materials for that title. The purchase also includes the license option selected during checkout, so your organization can stage the musical under the appropriate conditions.

Kaikana Musicals sells licenses to schools, academies, theater schools, camps, cultural entities, theater companies, and authorized organizations. Purchases must be made on behalf of an institution or authorized organization, not as a private individual.

Each musical includes the digital musical materials for that title, such as the script, songs, backing tracks, scores, production resources, and available support materials. The exact contents may vary depending on the musical, but the purchase always gives your organization access to the digital materials connected to that show.

The standard Educational License is included in the price of the musical for schools and recognized or accredited educational institutions staging the musical as part of the school’s own program with their students. It is valid for one year from the selected license start date. There is no extra fee for multiple school performances during that one-year period.

The Professional / Cultural License applies to all organizations other than schools or recognized/accredited educational institutions buying for their own school production. This includes associations, choirs, theater companies, theaters, cultural organizations, independent academies, theater schools, camps, artistic cooperatives, amateur groups, nonprofits, and producers. Working with young people, offering training, being amateur or nonprofit, donating proceeds, or being linked to a school does not automatically qualify an organization for the Educational License. This license adds $100 per authorized performance to the price of the musical materials. For example: if the musical costs $159 and you select 3 professional performances, the total is $159 + $300 = $459.

No. The Educational License is reserved for schools and recognized or accredited educational institutions staging the musical as part of their own school program with students. Associations, choirs, independent academies, theater schools, camps, theater companies, amateur groups, and nonprofits must use the Professional / Cultural License.

Yes. The professional / cultural license allows performances outside the standard educational context and may include ticket sales. The number of professional performances must be selected during checkout so the corresponding license supplement can be calculated.

Yes. A school or recognized educational institution may sell tickets to cover production costs, support the school activity, or raise funds for the school and still use the Educational License when the production remains part of its own school program with students. Ticket sales alone do not make a school production professional.

During checkout, you will be asked to choose the license start date. For the standard educational license, the one-year period begins on the date you select. For professional / cultural licenses, the license applies to the number of authorized performances selected during checkout.

Yes. Renewals are handled from My Account, not by email. Log in with the same email used for the original purchase, open the relevant license and add the renewal to your cart. The educational annual renewal costs $90. Once paid, Kaikana automatically creates the new order, invoice and license. If you already have a professional / cultural license and need additional authorized performances, each extra performance costs $100 and must be linked to the original license.

After completing your purchase, you will be able to access your materials, licenses, and downloads from your Kaikana account. If you already have an account, log in during checkout or access your account after purchase. If not, your order will be connected to the email used during checkout so your account can be activated later.

No. All Kaikana materials are digital. There are no physical shipments. You will receive access to the digital materials and downloads associated with the musical you purchased.

Yes. Your license allows internal printing or copying of the materials for the cast, creative team, rehearsals, and production use within your organization. Selling, redistributing, or sharing the materials outside the authorized organization is not allowed.

Yes. The license includes permission to record the performance under Kaikana Musicals’ conditions. Public sharing may be allowed when Kaikana Musicals is credited appropriately. Commercial sale or unauthorized monetization of recordings is not allowed unless specifically authorized.

You may make reasonable adaptations for your cast, group size, staging needs, or educational context, as long as the spirit of the work is respected and Kaikana Musicals is credited. The materials may not be resold, redistributed, or presented as a new original work.

Not at the moment. Kaikana musicals are sold as complete digital packages so that each organization has everything needed to prepare and stage the show properly.

Because Kaikana products are digital, refunds are not available once access to the materials or downloads has been granted. Please review the musical information, samples, and checkout details carefully before completing your purchase.

Kaikana Musicals may use advanced digital tools, including generative artificial intelligence tools, as support in some creative, technical, editorial or production stages. Some textual, visual, audio, promotional or demonstration materials may have been created, assisted, edited, processed or enhanced using such tools. All materials are selected, reviewed and adapted under Kaikana Musicals’ editorial responsibility.

The English and Spanish versions are treated as separate products and may have different prices and currency settings. Choose the language version you need before adding the musical to your cart.
